Raymond B. Weinberg, SPHR, CCP

Raymond B. Weinberg, SPHR, CCP, is a respected human resource practitioner, academic, researcher, author, consultant and speaker with over thirty-five years of experience in the field. He serves on the graduate faculties of four universities and takes an active role in both his profession and his community. He has served on the Boards of the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SPHR) Foundation. At HRCI, he was responsible for examination item development as National Examination Development Director, President and later as a Consultant. He is currently District Director for the Nebraska SHRM State Council. In 1993, he was recipient of the Award for Professional Excellence by SHRM. This national award is the highest honor in the human resource field. In 1999, he was declared the HR Professional of the Decade in Nebraska. He is the author of the HRCI Certification Guide and numerous articles in professional journals. In 1995 he founded the SilverStone Group’s Human Resource Consulting Practice along with Dr. Robert Mathis, SPHR author of the top-selling HR textbook. His practice clients included both top domestic and international organizations. He is a frequent speaker at many state, regional and national and international conferences. He has spoke at many SHRM National Conferences and in 1999 at the United Nations World Leader’s Summit in Istanbul, Turkey. He challenges audiences with his informed viewpoints on human resources and style of presentation. He just recently founded MetrapHRases Solutions which translates HR research into workplace practice. This endeavor has been a life-long goal. He is active in his community serving on numerous boards including the Red Cross, Northwest Rotary, Youth Care & Beyond and the Area Workforce Investment Board. Bethany Spilde is the founder of Social Buzz Media, where she focuses on helping businesses harness emerging media to reach their audiences and business goals. She has been the driving force behind several businesses' strategic social media plans, as well as the trainer for company employees & service professionals on how to form and deepen relationships to increase their web presence & client base with the appropriate social media tools/strategy. Kelli P. Lieurance is a member of the firm's Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Law Group. Ms. Lieurance received her Juris Doctor, from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2005, where she was awarded the Justice Lloyd Kagey Leadership Award. While in law school she served as Senior Publications Editor for the Kansas Journal of Law: Public Policy and was a Student Bar Association Officer and Class President. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English, with honors and distinction, from the University of Kansas in 2002. Ms. Lieurance advises clients on general day-to-day employment issues, including those related to the FLSA, FMLA, and other federal and state regulations. She also advises and defends employers on EEO matters, and prior to joining the firm, served as a legal intern for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Office of Federal Operations, in Washington D.C. Ms. Lieurance both develops and has successfully defended many Affirmative Action Programs before the OFCCP,. and counsels clients on pro-active, rather than defensive, Affirmative Action compliance. Recently, Ms. Lieurance has focused on the implications of technology and social media use on the workplace, and advises employers on how best to protect themselves as both industries and individuals become more interconnected. Gary Domet is a 27-year employee of the Omaha World-Herald. He is currently the Advertising Department’s Training Manager. He has held positions within the World Herald that include management positions at Rapid Printing & Mailing and A-1 Direct Mail. In addition positions of Classified Sales Manager, Major Accounts Sales Manager, and National Advertising Manager. He has taught Print Sales at University of Nebraska Lincoln, and been a guest lecturer at UNL and UNOmha. He is attending classes at UNL in the College of Journalism’s Graduate program in Advertising, Marketing, and Communications and plans a May 2011 graduation date. He is married to Sally a retired schoolteacher and has one daughter, Kate, a new attorney practicing Family Law in Los Angeles.

Bill is currently enrolled as an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He will graduate in December with a degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems and will begin work for the FDIC thereafter. Bill’s past IT experience includes: four years of work for UNK’s IT department, managing a Google Analytics account for a small business, and performing remote desktop deployment services while interning at a global life insurance company. Luke is currently a first year law student at the University of Nebraska College of Law. He graduated in May of 2010 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a degree in International Business. Luke spent four years working in the IT department at UNK, and his other technology interests range from digital video and audio production to web design. Luke has studied abroad in the Czech Republic and recently spent 3 months living and working in Nakuru, Kenya, where he used his technical skills to help improve multiple organizations. Luke hopes to pursue a career in space and telecommunications law.

David Graff is the CEO of Agile Sports, a company he co-founded in 2006 to help coaches at all levels win. The company's video coaching software, Hudl, was first used by the Nebraska Huskers and New York Jets and now boasts over 2,000 clients from youth to the NFL, across 48 states and four continents. Hudl has changed the way that coaches interact with each other, their athletes, recruiters, and fans using the latest in web-based video technology.
